Income Tax Benefit — Section 80G & 12A
Tax Exemption Under Section 80G
Your donation qualifies for income tax deduction — making giving even more rewarding.
80G Registration
Samaj Pragati Sahayog is registered under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961. Donations made to SPS are eligible for deduction from taxable income.
How Much Benefit?
50% of your donation amount is deductible from your taxable income — meaning if you donate ₹10,000, you get a ₹5,000 deduction on your taxable income.
When Will I Get the Receipt?
An 80G Certificate will be emailed to you within 3–5 working days of your donation. Providing your PAN number is mandatory for the certificate to be issued.
12A Registration
SPS is also registered under Section 12A, which exempts the organisation's income from tax and provides donors with additional confidence in the organisation's credibility.
Example — Estimated Tax Saving on a ₹10,000 Donation
This is an illustrative example. Actual benefit depends on your income, applicable tax slab, and financial year. Please consult your CA or Tax Advisor for personalised guidance.
